I'm Sorry. So Sorry.

Remember me?  Your favorite Mexican food blogger?

I know it has been quite some time since my last post.  And for that I would like to apologize.  My computer has been giving me grief for quite some time and it won't allow me to upload my recipe pics from my camera.  And I just can't bring myself to use someone else's photos for my recipes.

I was hoping to have my computer fixed this week, but it looks like it will still be another week or two.  As soon as it's fixed, you will be the first to know!

But I do have a little surprise for you.  As I was backing up my pics that I already have on my computer, I discovered a few photos from recipes I never got around to sharing with you.  I look forward sharing them with you in the next couple of days.

In the meantime, if you want to know what I've been up to, come visit my other blog, Motherhood in Mexico.

Thank you all for being so understanding!

  3. You are sooo photogenic! wow! No wonder your kids are so cute. I have sort of abandoned my cooking blog, it turned out to be more work than I wanted to do. I admire your ability to stick with it!

  4. Wow. I guess it's OK you haven't been blogging because, obviously, you have been off pursuing your super model career. Blogging is supposed to be fun! Do it when you can!

  5. I have sure enjoyed your recipes! I share your name...my name is also Leslie. Do you know how our name translates in Spanish? I find my friends from Lat Am have a hard time saying it and keep looking for a spanish equivalent.

  6. MONICA: Yes, that's me in the pic! :)

MARY C: I'm hoping this computer gets fixed soon. I really miss posting my recipes.

MIMI: Gracias! :) En que parte de Mexico estas?

THERESA: Thank you! I wish I had thought of some way to combine both blogs! :)

    JENNY: LOL! Thank you! :)

LESLIE: I get asked the same thing. I don't know what the Spanish translation is, but soon we won't need one. Leslie is becoming a very popular name in Mexico. :)

  7. Hi Leslie - I stumbled onto your site while searching Google for coctel de cameron. In the US, it is hard to find "Mexican style" as you noted in your blog. Even in restaurants that bill themselves as "authentic Mexican" we sometimes find American style shrimp cocktail is served. I am cooking your picadillo tomorrow, and the talapia is next on my list. Your recipes are easy to follow and you have posted extremely enticing pictures. Can you create a recipe index alphabetically? I am looking for some of the basics: ceviche, mexican black beans, mole, capriotada, etc. In the meantime, I'll keep trying your selections, while spreading the word on your excellent website. Thanks for sharing your talent.

  8. Ohhhhh, God help me...girl, these recipes look FAB, and I am a HUGE Mexican food fan...of course the kind of Mexican food I'm used to is Tex-Mex, which is quite different, I know. I am looking SO forward to trying some of these out. I love your other F-word blog, too...honey, you are stunningly beautiful!

  9. ANONYMOUS: Thank you so much! I am working on setting up some kind of index. I just haven't been able to decide how to do it. Alphabetically? Or by category: Chicken, Beef, Pork, Dessert?

DORIS: Thank you! :) I hope you like the recipes. :)
