Because you can never have to many Agua Fresca recipes, and because anything mango is a sweet, warm weather treat... This Creamy Mango Colada Agua Fresca made with fresh mango and evaporated milk will delight your tastebuds.
Like many agua fresca recipes this Agua de Mango Colada can easily be transformed into a fun adult cocktail by adding a little tequila or rum to each glass before serving.
Agua de Mango Colada
(Creamy Mango Colada Agua Fresca)
- 4 ripe mangos, peeled and cut in large chunks
- 12 cups water
- 1 (10 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1 to 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar
- Tequila or rum (optional)
Puree the mango chunks in a blender with 4 cups of water. Pour puree into a 4-quart pitcher. Stir in the evaporated milk and enough of the remaining water to fill the pitcher. Sweeten with sugar to taste (about 1 cup). Refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy!
